Heading to Cambridge, London and nearby tomorrow insyaAllah.
Here’s just a quick post for those in the region, perhaps a chance to catchup or meet for the first time. I’ll be based in London, arriving 21 July, making trips to Liverpool and Manchester for ziarahs and meetings.
On 29 July, I’ll be going to Cambridge University for the Summer School Program – Interfaith Between Abrahamic Religions for two plus weeks. From there, back to Tareem, Yemen after a short stay in Salalah, Oman.
The program is connected A Common Word, that Habib Ali al-Jifri and Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad was actively involved in some years ago, the same one that my headmaster Habib Omar Bin-Hafidz was a signatory to – as well as other Muslim and Christian leaders.
I spoke to Habib Ali Zaenal Abidin al-Hamid, one of their leading students in Malaysia, a week ago seeking his advice and opinion about it. The first thing he said was, ‘interfaith relations, it’s in the Qur’an.’ And smiled. Before continuing at length over some durian.
Meanwhile I wish Selamat Hari Raya, and seek your forgiveness. And your prayers.

Have a safe n fruitful trip 🙂
Let me know if you need contacts in the UK Sidi, especially in the north.
