I’m not being silly when I say they’re warming up. We did Asar minutes ago. Ali Keeler @alfirdausensemble is in the kitchen getting some charcoal going I suppose. He graciously invited me when I called days ago, in other words saying – it’s Rabi’ul Awwal, if you’re not doing something, I will.
We are now in the month of Rabi’ul Awwal. The blessed month when the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was born. Had it not been for what he brought, we wouldn’t know the sacred months, not known Islam, not known etc etc.. For this, some consider Rabi’ul Awwal more preferred, more superior than other months.
Although the majority of scholars take the opinion that he was born on the 12th of Rabi’ul Awwal, a minority conclude it is on other dates.
The reason this is not as known is because they give preference to the majority for the sake of keeping the greater congregation together, united and also out of respect and humility to the greats.
Imam al-Haddad, Habib Omar Bin-Hafidh and some others believe it to be the 7th.
Today is the 7th.
يا بختكم. يا بختكم.
