East African BaAlawi hospitality by Imam Khalid Hussein in Leicester a few nights ago. Isaaq, Atiiq and I drove from Birmingham to London.
(And these two gentlemen dropped me off in London midnight before driving back to Birmingham straight away. What men are these.. May Allah increase their ranks!)
De toured this town for a quick Ziarah but got dinner instead. We wanted tea but received some songs. Hoping for smiles but heard an outpouring of stories about giants in Zanzibar, Mombasa, Lamu and of course Tareem.
الكريم.
The be generous is not just a good admirable virtue, let alone feel good. But it is a manifestation of God’s name. The Generous.
In Tareem, and I’m sure elsewhere too, upon completing a meal the guests won’t say thank you to the host. But would make a prayer for the household, for such virtues are lofty and elevates those connected to it.

They would tell the host, may Allah grant you all the generosity of the righteous people.
Go on then. Go. Get elevated.
Go now and go always. As many have went.
Ameen!
