I can’t say this was an intelligent thing to do, but I was pleased with myself no less.
After maybe travelling for 30 hours or so by land from #Tareem, #Yemen to #Salalah, #Oman – we found a place to stay. More on that later.
We were given food which had leftover. The gas supply in the apartment didn’t work, and I didn’t find matches to light the stove anyway. There was no microwave.
So the only way to heat things up was to find the source of heat. And the window was hot. So I placed the leftovers in a pot, and stuff it past the window grill in as far as I could.
The food was not hot. But it was enough. Plus as travellers, it’s not difficult to realign your standards. Anyhow, who knows you may find this method useful someday.
All the best.
Maybe next time put some stones in and around the pot and put it outside? Or maybe empty tin cans. Kalau adalah. Tak tahulah kalau jadi. 😀 I suppose if you buried a covered pot in the desert sun at 12pm (and it being summer there now) that would work. Sorry my braining tiba2 braining.
Anita Ahmad I thought of putting it outside. But I was uncertain of the dog and goat situation in this neighbourhood. 🙂 hahah
Lol! Ah…wandering goats. I do miss that scene. 😀
