It’s good to see much of the green here is not imported but produced by local farmers without the need for a campaign telling people to buy local.
However, like many other places, the subconscious brainwash of telling the locals (you) that foreign is better, is quite widespread and gaining strength.
The Hadith that tells you it’s better to eat what’s near, surely extends in meaning, that just to reach out by hand to what’s near to you on a table or spread.
Surely, surely it includes food import, travelling for food and of course things in life other than food. The many, many other things other than food.
