Small boy adhan in Norway.
Sunday classes at Masjid Darussalam Norge in Fredrikstad.
At noon they pray in congregation and then the boys begin classes and then the adults phase in, around when Asar begins and that’s when girls have their classes too upstairs.
It’s refreshing to see a multi ethnic mosque and to know that they’ve purchased a large Church nearby which will gradually be converted into the new mosque as renovations are required to fit their needs.
Local church and community leaders had also given them encouraging and congratulatory messages publicly and privately for achieving what they did in meeting the needs of their community.
Pic: two boys going around distributing candy to all present. I think the Imam of the mosque brought it for everyone.
It’ll be interesting to stay an engage with many of the congregants are quite a portion of them are from refugee background, some even engaged directly in wars elsewhere and had remarkably interesting stories.
Considering what they’ve been through and also what this community has achieved, it makes you ask yourself, not – ‘what have you got to be proud of about yourself?’
Rather to ask – ‘what kind of arrogance have you deluded yourself with considering that pride you have had been hiding inside?’
Even he (pbuh) who was ascended to high heavens and back by Him, entered an exclusive realm even archangel Gabriel couldn’t partake, promised the greatest pace in Paraside…even he (pbuh) was known for humility.
Not one who was amazed by his own acts and achievements.
