. لأن الله معنا
(God is with us) performed by Rafat Dawoud for Talent Night of Cambridge Interfaith Program Summer School Between Abrahamic Religions at Madingley Hall, Cambridge University.
The song is in Arabic and from what I gather from the Orthodox Christian tradition. Rafat himself is a Christian from Palestine. He’s a school teacher and a local community inter-faith activist that have managed to foster good relations with a neighborhood mosque. Together with the Imam of that mosque, they’ve achieved a few projects together.
I’ve found the translation for the (full) song:
God is with us, ye know ye Nations and defeated …
Because God is with us
Listen to the ends of the earth …
Because God is with us
O mighty Angbawa …
Because God is with us
For you if Qoeetm, Vstnglpon also …
Because God is with us
Any opinion Avckrtm him, Lord Astth …
Because God is with us
Any words you said, do not keep silent in you …
Because God is with us
But we can prevent your fear not, nor Ntzaazaa him …
Because God is with us
The Lord our God, who cherish it, and it is our fear …
Because God is with us
Behold and boys who hath given me God …
Because God is with us
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light …
Because God is with us
Dear population in the country of death and wronged, the light shines on you …
Because God is with us
Because he had been born a boy for us, and a great son …
Because God is with us
Powerful God, ruler of Peace …
Because God is with us
August the age to come …
Because God is with us
God is with us, ye know ye Nations and defeated …
Because God is with us
